Holy Jolokia Hot Sauce (5oz./148ml):

A portion of bottle sales helps to fund research and education at the Chile Pepper Institute - where spiciness is a religion. The chile heat in this sauce comes from Bhut Jolokia, a chile pepper from India tested by Dr. Paul W. Bosland (New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM) and measured at 1 million Scoville Heat Units. Cautin: your taste buds may cry our, Holy Jolokia!

Ingredients: Vinegar, Bhut Jolokia Chiles, Sugar, Salt, Granulated Garlic, Lemon Extract, Xanthan Gum.

One of the best hot sauces out there!

Posted by Dean Swiatek on 2012 Dec 9th

I've been eating hot sauces for years now, however I have never tried Holy Jolokia, until tonight. I put this on a burrito and while it wasn't quite as hot as I was expecting, I was blown away by the flavor, and how well it complimented my beef burrito. I've always been a fan of Louisiana style hot sauces on beef burritos, but I believe Holy Jolokia stands out for two reasons. One, it's simply hotter than most Louisiana style hot sauces, thanks to the ghost pepper. And two, it tastes very good. While it contains the ghost pepper, it does not contain so much of it where you can pick out the nuances of the flavor to be able to tell it's a ghost pepper as opposed to a habanero, 7 pot, or some other kind of pepper, which is very much inline with the Louisiana style of hot sauce. You can also taste vinegar, and lemon. The sauce is not overpoweringly sour however; there is some sugar added to balance out the sourness of the lemon, but without tasting noticeably sweet either. I would estimate that this is around 50k-60k scoville units at the most based on my experience. It's not too hot and chileheads will have no trouble consuming this stuff in large quantities, but now I understand why so many people in the chilehead community list this among their top hot sauces of all time, it really is that good.
