Matouk's Hot pepper Sauce gives a well balanced blend of flavor and heat. The habañero peppers come alive in this sauce giving some of that rich character you get when eating them raw with less of the intense heat that often distracts from the nutty overtones. That's not to say this isn't hot - my brother thinks it's too hot, but he prefers the oriental pepper sauces. The garlic flavor in Matouk's compliments many or most dishes, and the subtle mustard never overwhelms.
I use this on everything from pizza and submarine sandwiches to meat dishes (curried and jerk styles, not to mention grilled steaks) and in salad dressings. I first encountered this sauce 30 years ago when a friend brought some back from the islands. I have sampled many other sauces in the mean time, but always come back to this!
